The Donald Brinegar Singers

The Donald Brinegar Singers, founded in 1996, is a chamber choir based in the Los Angeles area performing choral works of past and modern masters. We regularly sing throughout the Southern California area. Please look around the Web site, learn more about us, and find out where we we'll be singing next.

Our 2006-2007 season concludes with two performances:

June 17 @ 3:00 PM at the Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara, 1535 Santa Barbara Street in Santa Barbara

and

June 19 @ 8:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Lakewood, 4300 Bellflower Boulevard in Lakewood.

Admission is $15 for regular admission, and $10 for seniors, children, and students for the Santa Barbara performance. The performance in Lakewood is FREE.

The program includes more than 400 years of choral music in a program entitled With It I Wander: meditations on beauty and wonder. This concert includes favorites, like Palestrina and Saint-Saëns, as well as living composers like Craig Kingsbury and Ron Kean.

The Los Angeles Times hailed the group’s sound as striking the listener like a, “bolt from the blue, arresting in its spiritual authenticity and purity.” The LA Weekly simply stated that DBS is “an excellent small chorus.”
